ELN for ESRM

2021 Fall - ACC - Monday - Kayti Butler

Description

The soil sample was collected from a farming/agricultural property that is known to use pesticides for controlling parasites for their livestock. The soil itself is dense and rich in color. On October 11, 2021 I transferred my soil sample culture into a media containing a pesticide (CSM & SSM). October 27, 2021 I transferred week 1 media into week 2 and recorded my findings. Week 3 results were recorded and media was transferred on November 3, 2021. November 10, 2021 week 4 media was recorded and showing only 1 tube was showing yellow while all the rest were clear. Media was transferred to prep for week 5 recording. On November 17, 2021 week 5 media only showed 1 tube (CSM Px) being positive for pesticide degrading and had no pellet. That media was then transferred to an LB Broth to be revitalized and ready to record for week 6. November 22, 2021 week 6 results showed about 1 colony being tolerant but without halos present.
